Toon Habraken is a music composer for TV and media from The Netherlands. He composes trailer music, production music, and custom music for all sorts of media. His music can be heard in TV productions worldwide (CNN, BBC, ZDF, RTL, FOX, Discovery Channel, National Geographic as well as Netflix, TV commercials and internet promotions).

Toon's work consists of orchestral music, often with added elements like guitars, all sorts of drums, synthesizers and other contemporary or traditional instruments to create a story in a hybrid landscape of sounds.

He started out as a guitar player, and got accepted at the Conservatory of Rotterdam (CODARTS). After obtaining his bachelor, teaching guitar and performing live he was drawn more and more to the composition process. In 2011 he started at the HKU in Utrecht to study composition for the media and got his bachelor (Hons.) in 2013 and his Master of Music in 2015, with a specialization in composition and orchestration. In 2015, Toon was nominated for a European Talent Award at the Soundtrack_Cologne.

As a multi-instrumentalist and with a Master's degree in orchestration Toon always searches for the best way to bring his musical vision to life, and the use of live musicians in his productions is an important way to achieve this. His music is filled with expressive melodies and out of the ordinary harmonies. Inspired by film composers like Ennio Morricone, Alan Silvestri and John Williams, but also by classical composers like Claude Debussy and Igor Stravinsky.
